Strasbourg vs. Guingamp – Football Match Report – January 12, 2018

French Ligue 1, Guingamp, Leagues, Story, Strasbourg

Guingamp extended their unbeaten Ligue 1 run to six games with a 2-0 win at Strasbourg.
Goals from Yannis Salibur and Nicolas Benezet inside the opening 16 minutes secured an away win for Antoine Kombouare’s men at Stade de la Meinau.
Salibur collected Marcus Coco’s clever back-heel in the penalty area before dribbling away from his marker and dinking the ball over Alexandre Oukidja to give the visitors an eighth-minute lead.
And just eight minutes later it was 2-0 when Benezet raced on to Jimmy Briand’s pass and buried an effort into the bottom left corner.
Strasbourg, who had not been beaten at home in the league since September, could not find a way back into the contest.
Guingamp’s fourth win in five games moves them up to sixth in the table.
